![]() Even if you don't notice any dental problems right away, it is important to reach out to us after any type of auto accident. Chips or CracksIf you suffer trauma to the face during an auto accident, your teeth may be chipped or cracked. Treatment for this issue will depend on how healthy the surrounding nerve and tissues are, and the size of the crack will also make a difference. Large cracks may require a crown, and if the nerve is damaged, a root canal may be required.Loose TeethIf one or more of your teeth are loose, but are still in place in your mouth, you'll also need immediate treatment. The teeth may remain intact while shifting in the mouth or coming out of the socket. Splinting and root canal treatment are the most common options.Tooth LossIf your tooth is knocked out or lost as a result of a car accident, you'll need to visit our office within 30-60 minutes to save the tooth.
