Good oral hygiene includes routine dental visits - at least once every 6 months. This will help you prevent things like cavities and other problems. Of course, this time period will vary for each person. For instance, if you don't typically have trouble with your teeth you may be able to only see your dentist once a year, while those who have a high risk of developing an oral disease will need to see them more frequently than once every 6 months. Regardless of when you see your dentist, there are some things you should do to make the most of the visit.
